As CO2 concentrations increase over the years, what does the average global temperature do? Do you think there is a relationship between the two?

Respuesta :

As CO2 increases, global temperature increases. CO2 is an example of a greenhouse gas. A greenhouse gas insulates heat within the atmosphere. The more greenhouse gasses there are in the atmosphere, the higher the earths temperature will be.

This is what is often referred to as global warming. Though the earth would be below freezing without these gasses, when too many are produced from causes like manufacturing plants, vehicle exhaust, and electrical plants, we have to deal with the consequences of climate change.

With the increase in the concentrations of carbon dioxide, the average temperature of the globe will also increase, thus, both increase in CO2 and increase in global temperature are directly related.

• The increase in the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is solely accountable for the two-thirds of the total imbalance of the energy, which is resulting in the elevation of the temperature of the Earth.

Carbon dioxide is one of the major greenhouse gases, which traps heat from the Sun and results in greenhouse effect. However, more concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere would lead to global warming eventually leading to climate change by increasing the temperature of the globe.

Thus, it can be stated that when the concentration of carbon dioxide increases, temperature goes up and vice versa.
