Pretend that you have been given an opportunity to have one single thing for Christmas that money can't buy. Write 1 (eight sentence) paragraph explaining what that wish would be and why this is what you want. Focus on punctuation and grammar.
Do not think in terms of "gifts" merely for yourself. Think broad-scale. What is something that would be truly meaningful?

In years past, I have had students write about ending world hunger, eliminating cancer, stopping wars in other countries, or making sure that every child had at least one thing under the Christmas tree. Pick something TRULY important to YOU! Think OUTSIDE OF YOURSELF!

Do not write about your wanting a PS4 or something of this nature...again, think outside of yourself.

There are others in the world that aren't happy, and can't live without having to think about their skin color. This year, I wish for equality for all people, regardless of race. I wish for happiness for those living through dark times and support for those who need it. In dark times like these, we need to do our best to help those in need. There are people in Africa who don't get enough food, who die from HUNGER. There are kids waiting in adoption centers for years, hoping that their dream may come true. These are all things that we are ungrateful for, and if I could have one wish, it would be to give everyone else what they want, whether it is happiness, a family to laugh with, or a world filled with peace and equality.

Equality

I believe that this is what the world needs right now. When we have peace and equality, we learn to accept others and lessen the hate people give. Like world hunger or poverty , equality needs diversity because people’s lives are stake. Equality is about ensuring that every individual is treated with equal respect and opportunity no matter what their race is or where they came from. It’s time to use our privilege wisely. Some societies view equity as a worthy goal in and or itself because of its moral implications and its intimate link with fairness and social justice. Because our world lacks equality, many people doesn’t have the privilege or opportunities to do what other people with higher social status can do. It needs to be changed because we are all equally created.
