Read the passage from Animal Farm.
In the end they finished the harvest in two days' less
time than it had usually taken Jones and his men.
Moreover, it was the biggest harvest that the farm had
ever seen. There was no wastage whatever; the hens
and ducks with their sharp eyes had gathered up the
very last stalk. And not an animal on the farm had stolen
so much as a mouthful.
What is the central idea of this passage?
The animals are scared to steal.
The animals work efficiently in harmony.
The animals wish they had humans to help them.
The animals do not have time to rest or eat meals.

Respuesta :

Answer:

I believe the answer "The animals work efficiently in harmony" is the answer.

Explanation:

This statement is clearly expressed in the first line of the passage "...finished the harvest in two days less time than..." Here the term "efficiency" is clearly implied.

Efficiency is also seen in: "...biggest harvest the farm had ever seen...", "...no wastage whatever...", "...gathered up the very last stalk..."

All the other options are either clearly opposed by one of the aforementioned statements or not even mentioned at all.

Hope this helps!!
