Think about the first four lines of the poem. What is the narrator expressing in these lines?
The Chimney-Sweeper
“When my mother died I was very young, and my father sold me while yet my tongue could scarcely cry ‘Weep! Weep! Weep! Weep!’ So your chimneys I sweep, and I spot I sleep.”
The poet said that when he was young ,his mother was died. And his father sold him like a orphan child before his tongue is able to talk.so the poet said that I clean your chimnies and after I sleep.
