Aristotle believed that the Earth was the center of our universe. In the late 1400's, Copernicus spoke against this popular belief and stated that the sun is the center of our universe. Today, we now know that Copernicus was correct. Should all the work of Aristotle now be thrown out?

Respuesta :

yes because there is not much need to keep around incorrect answers but at the same time no because this could be useful to learn how people thought and viewed the world around them in the 1400s,the answer could be possibly answered in both ways and the actual answer is most likely an opinion by both sides to answer yes or no.

No. Despite the fact that Aristotle beliefs on the Earth’s position were wrong, Aristotle still is considered one of the worlds most important philosopher and scientist. He had many kinds of research in biology, for example, he was the first to classify animals into different species, he dissected many animals and built biological classifications.

Also, it is important to keep records so we know how the human thoughts evolved through time, so throw out all the works that were wrong is not a good idea.
