First off, congrats on asking the 2 millionth question! Marathas, Rajputs, Pashtuns, Hindu Jats and the Sikhs, all gathered military and governing wishs during Mughal rule, which therefore, through collaboration or adversity, gave them both recognition and military experience to fight their rulers. The Maratha military was the biggest rebelling group, as they fought thier Munghal leaders more then all the other groups of rebels.
