The similarity between the goals of president Kennedy and president Johnson was: Both men supported laws and programs that were designed to bring about a more equal society.
In order to do this, president Kennedy proposed federal aid to education and medical care for the elderly in order to help the poor and the minorities to achieve equality. President Johnson proposed the Great Society program to eliminate racial injustice.
