Other people may turn to God because they are afraid of death. They need more than this sad unfulfilling life on earth, they need hope for an afterlife that is perfect. God gives people without friends someone to turn to when they are in need, someone to confide in. Others may have been raised in religious environments causing them to naturally be religious.
