TYPES OF HEAT TRANSFER
Heat is transferred in 4 different ways,

Conduction:
Its is a kind of heat transfer which occurs by contact. Heat is transferred by contact from hot body to the cold body. Conduction takes place when the substance is heated, the particles gain more energy, and vibrate more. These more vibrating particles bump into particles beside them and transfer energy in them, thus heat transfer. Example If we place a head of a spoon in a boiling water, the Flatware of the spoon becomes hot by conduction.

Convection:
Thermal Convection is found along the fluid. Fluid includes both water and gas. When water or gas is heated, there is a bulk movement of molecules with in the fluid away from the source causing a hotter particles go away from the source and cooler particles come towards the source. It form the cycle.

Radiation:
Radiation is the transfer of heat in the form of electromagnetic waves. Sun Light or Heat is a type Electromagnetic waves, and Electromagnetic radiations have the ability to move in the space i.e. they don't require any medium for the movement which makes the Radiation different from other processes of heat transfer. Here Cat is sitting in a sunlight and sunlight is a source of radiation.

Evaporation:
Evaporation is a process in which liquid molecules take energy from their surroundings and change their state into gas. Example: water molecules, they take energy from the sunlight and changes its state of matter. Water have high heat of vaporization so it needs a lot of energy to change its state of liquid to gas. It is a cooling process, When evaporation takes place surrounding gets cooler. Another example is sweat, When sweat evaporates from our body by taking heat from our body, we feel cold because alot of energy is required to change the state of water molecules.
