A 50-kg person is in an elevator. Determine the normal force exerted on the person by the elevator, if the elevator is accelerating downwards at 5 m/s^2.
In order to get force you should use the equation F=ma where F stands for force, M stands for mass, and A stands for acceleration. then you simply plug in the numbers and multiply. F=ma F=50kg(5m/s^2) F=250
