Joe McCarthy was a Wisconsin senator would started “McCarthyism”, a term used to describe unproven accusations of communism on many people by McCarthy and his supporters such as politicians, actors, and famous athletes and singers.

“Murrows probe” was a Tv report by Edward Murrow exposing McCarthy’s hypocrisy and contradictory statements. The report was in response to McCarthy’s continued communist accusations in an attempt to stop him. The attempt succeeded, McCarthy fell pretty quickly from political power after that.

Joseph McCarthy was a popular man in history.  He was born November 14, 1908 and he died in May 2, 1957. He is a very influential American politician who was known to have served as a Republican U.S. Senator for his state (Wisconsin\) from 1947 -1957.

  • The charges that  was brought Murrow’s probe was in a sealed envelope, no one saw them, there was no hearing and he was declared guilty without any trial. He was told to keep job but he had to denounce his father.

  • The Murrow's probe was known to have expose McCarthy’s hypocrisy and contradictory statements. The report was in detailed about McCarthy’s communist accusations and attempt to stop him.
