Interest groups are manifestations of people with a particular opinion or take on something; they do their best to sway the public to their proposition on the issue or dilemma. Perhaps if we step back and put ourselves in the seat, we may realize that interest groups affect us daily. Interest groups can include political groups or even parties, people with a common opinion, or even just a group of people trying to spread their opinion on something.
"Lobbying, which usually involves direct, face-to-face contact, is done by many types of people, associations and organized groups, including individuals in the private sector, corporations, fellow legislators or government officials, or advocacy groups (interest groups)."
So how does the public view these people?
Well, some people suggest that there may be too many interest groups. They tend to have a greater influence than even political parties.
