Brutus was created by Julio Cesar as a son, in addition to having witnessed Cesar's ability to reject full power the title of king and sovereign, that is, by the coexistence that Brutus had with Cesar, he knew that despite all ambition, Cesar would not hurt the people. However Cassius was a great manipulator and used all his skill with speeches with a strong rhetoric that was able to distort Brutus' view of Caesar, making him believe that he should betray Cesar in the name of the people's well-being.

In this way, we can conclude that Brutus was not motivated by conscience itself, but by Cassius' manipulation.
