imo Pink Floyd's psychedelic rock; guns n' roses can be dubbed as hard rock ( however they had a 'glam phase' where they dressed up slightly hair metal-ish). I don't listen to Linkin park much but it's rather controversial if they are actually a 'rock' band or not, though you can say they are a 'alternative rock' or 'nu metal' or 'rap rock' band
