Even today, the Silk Road holds economic and cultural significance for many. It is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while the United Nations World Tourism Organization has developed the route as a way of ‘fostering peace and understanding’. Having visited a number of countries the Silk Road passes through, I can definitely say that taking a trip along this route is incredible and well worth the long distance travelled.

I can see clothes of silk, if materials that do not hide the body, nor even one's . Although Rome and Han China expanded greatly, there was still a lot of distance between them. One obvious effect of trade along the Silk Road was more goods.
