The right option is; c. faults
Faults is associated with plates sliding past each other.
A fault is a fracture or layers of fractures between two plates of rock in the earth crust. A fault is caused by tensional or compressional forces which relatively displaces the rocks on areas opposite the fracture. The displacement of the rocks may happen slowly in the form of creep, and it may happen very quickly in the form of an earthquake. The types of faults include; dip-slip faults (normal or reverse), strike-slip faults (right-lateral or left-lateral), and oblique-slip faults.
