Calvin was born on July 4, 1872 in Plymouth, Vermont. When he was three years old his younger sister, Abigail, was born. His parents, Victoria and John Coolidge, raised him and his sister to be Christians and to always trust in God. When Calvin was only 12 years old his mom died and his younger sister died a few years after that.
