-1/3m+1=-7
-1/3m+1-1=-7-1 subtract 1 from both sides
-3(-1/3m)=-3(-8) multiply -3 on both sides
m=24 solution

- 1/3m + 1= - 7
=> -1/3m = - 7 - 1
=> - 1/3 m = -8
=> - m = -8 * 3
=> -m = - 24
=> m = 24
