So it should be X is greater __but less than__.
It should go something like that since the middle of both numbers is shaded in

But to write it in compound form it should be

Interpretation: 7 is less than X which means X is greater than 7 but C is also less than 14. And Thera no equal to cause there’s open circles at both ends.
