The main conflict in the movie Coco is that Miguel's family does not allow him to make music, due to an old quarrel between his great-great-grandmother and her husband, who apparently abandoned her for following his musical ideals.
The conflict and everything that happens during the story could have been avoided if Miguel's family had been aware that everyone should choose their own path and be happy in their own way.

The protagonist of this film is Miguel, a boy whose desire is to create music at the level of his idol: Ernesto de la Cruz, however, his family does not support musicians because his great-great-grandfather abandoned them.
Miguel decides to take Ernesto's guitar, but when he plays it he is transported to the world of the dead, where he meets Héctor, who is finally discovered to be Miguel's great-great-grandfather and everything the family thought was just a mix-up.
