What is the one word explaining why the same people who wrote that “all men are created equal” and have the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” in the Declaration of Independence chose to leave out of the Bill of Rights any mention of equality or voting?
The north sates wanted to ban slavery, but the south states wanted slavery. If they pushed father for equality, the south states would refuse to sign the declaration.
