Well, the cells and bricks are similar because cells are the building blocks of life and bricks are the building blocks of buildings. Cells are necessary for life, bricks are necessary for buildings. 
They are different in the way of cells have nucleus'es (plural form of nucleus, I suppose) and other things inside it that do jobs, bricks don't have that. 

Cells are the structural and functional unit of life to form organs and bodies like bricks in a building.

Cells are unit due to all living organisms are made up of cells and also all the functions taking place inside the body of organisms are performed by cells.

  • Cells provide specific conditions, for the occurrence of metabolic reactions.
  • These have specialized enzymes, which catalyze the biochemical reaction and regulate the functions of the body.

Difference:

  • Bricks are generally square-shaped, like all other bricks, while cells can have many shapesround, square, spindle-shaped, and star-like.
  • Bricks generally stay put, while many types of cells will happily migrate from one place to another.
