Answer:

a closed system is when everything throughout your system is closed and connected. meaning that electricity can flow though without being interrupted or stopped. And open system is when there is a gap in the line somehwrre and not connected. meaning that electricity cant go though completly becuase there is a spot in the system where it's open and being stopped. (kinda like if you were on a bridge but theres a huge hole in it so you can go to the other side)

There are various contrast between an open and closed system as for an open system interaction of mass as well energy takes place but for a closed system only energy interaction takes place

What is a thermodynamic system?

It can be defined as the specified space under consideration for any thermodynamic process. It can have a fixed boundary as well as a moveable boundary. In a thermodynamic system mainly interaction of mass and energy takes place

There are mainly three types of a thermodynamic system

open system

closed system

isolated system

The characteristics of an open system are as follows

an open system is also known as a control volume system

The simultaneous interaction of mass and energy takes place

There is a variation in the mass of the system with time

Examples of open systems are gas turbines, the human body, and air compressor

The characteristics of a closed system are as follows

An open system is also known as a control mass system

There is no interaction of mass of the system with surroundings will take place only he interaction  of energy takes place

The mass of the system  does not change with time

An example of closed system is a simple closed water bottle without insulations
