PLEASE HELP! Compare relief sculpture to free standing sculpture. What do you think the benefits are of making a relief over a free-standing one? What might be a drawback?​

A free-standing statue (as suggested by its name) exists without the back support and can be sculptured and seen from all angles. Reliefs are better as the architectural elements in the terms of design and planning. They can easily be incorporated into space as the decoration, as they take up less room. They can be placed anywhere on the wall or freeze to make the area come to life and give it some art ornament.
