I have a rectangle that is 12m by 10m. I need to find the fraction of the shape that is shaded inside which is 7m by 2m

The the fraction of the shape is equivalent to shaded part/total part.
The area of the shaded part is equal to 7m*2m=14m^2
The area of the non shaded part is equal to 12m*10m=120m^2
The fraction is equal to 14m^2/120m^2=7/60 or approximately 11.66%
