When you read a book, the writing can have a kind of personality. You get a feeling for who the writer is and what he or she might be like to talk to in person. What's your writing voice?
Take a few minutes to write a journal entry about the unspoken laws, rules, and codes that you have in your life. What "rules" determine how your friends interact? Are there any "laws" that you have within your family? Pick one of these rules and write a quick story related to it. Think about writing in a voice that captures the way you might speak to a friend.
