The air pollutant that I was exposed to last week was the bush burning by one mr Ade nearer to my house. The smoke from the bush burning made the atmosphere unfriendly. It caused breathing impairment and also led to coughing and sneezing at the same time.

In the last week, I was exposed to toxic compounds from a nearby petrochemical company, black soot, dust, and carbon emissions from exhaust pipes.

In the vicinity where I live, there is a petrochemical company that produces nylon products and fertilizers. Toxic substances are released into the air by this company. They include BTEX compounds, namely, Benzene, toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene.

Black soot is also emitted as a result of combustion. This stains clothes that are spread to dry, the floor, window blinds, etc.

Dust and carbon emissions from the exhaust pipes also pollute the environment. These pollutants cause and aggravate breathing problems like asthma. They also cause an increase in chronic diseases like cancer.

Summarily, in the past week, I have been exposed to pollutants like BTEX compounds, black soot, dust, and emissions from cars.
