Is the quotient of a rational number and
an irrational number always irrational?

In general, the quotient of two rational numbers (given the denominator is not 0) is rational. Because a rational z contradicts our definition that x is irrational, this must mean z is irrational. Therefore, the product of a rational and irrational number is irrational.
