Question 2:
Since 4 is a whole number, you don't have to really worry about it. You will then do 7 ÷ 8, which equals 0.875. That's when you will bring back the 4, which will make your final answer 4.875.
Question 3:
Since [tex] \frac{7}{8} [/tex] is closer to a whole number, just round it to 1, add it to the 4, and you'll get 5.
Then take the 5, and multiply it by 4 which = 20. So 20 yd of fabric's enough.
