Step 1) 8(-3-b)=b-9
Step 2) -24-8b=b-9
              +8b       +8b 
Step 3) -24=9b-9
              +9     +9 
Step 4) -15=9b 
        divide both sides by nine 
I pretty sure it's -1.66
