Ok so Net force is the vector sum of forces acting on a particle or body. The net force is a single force that replaces the effect of the original forces on the particle's motion. It gives the particle the same acceleration as all those actual forces together as described by the Newton's second law of motion.
If 2 children are both pulling on the toy and giving the same amount of Newton’s then nothing would change. If one child is giving more Newton’s then that Child would end up with the toy.
I hope this helped. I didn’t really know how to explain it. <3

When the two children along with the toy should be pulled in various directions. The total force after all the forces should be added together that we called the net force.
What is the net force?
It is the sum of the forces that acted on the particle or the body. It is treated as the single force that eliminates the impact of the real force with respect to the particle motion. It provides the particle that contain the similar acceleration. Also, here we use the second law of motion,
In this way it should be explained.
