Autotrophs which are largely plants are the organisms which are capable of synthesizing their own food by the process of photosynthesis. Omnivores and carnivores both are heterotrophic organisms. Heterotrophs totally depend upon autotrophs for their food. Omnivores are the organisms which feed upon plants as well as flesh of other animals. Carnivores are the organisms which feed upon other animals only that means they do not feed upon plants directly but indirectly they still depend upon plants because the animals on which they are feeding are hebivores which are totally dependent on plants for their food.
