In the cartoon, now-prosperous immigrants object to further immigration to America. What is the meaning behind the prosperous immigrants’ shadows? After seeing the cartoon,

I think we can pretty much conclude that the cartoon shows that the American citizen was not supportive of immigrations. We did not want the immigrants (back then the immigrants came mainly from China) to flock into our country and took the labor jobs
