I think you forgot to give the options along with your question. I am answering the question based on my research and knowledge. "They shared similar marriage customs" is the one that was a common theme shared by the Mayan and Aztec civilizations. I hope that the answer has come to your help.

They shared some aspects of their religion. Remember that the Aztec civilization reached it's apex when the Mayan had already fallen. So the aztecs based a lot of their beliefs on the Mayan's ones. They took the idea of  the deity known as the Feathered Serpent as their creator, the one who tought them how to farm maize. The Mayan named it Kukulkan and the Aztecs Quetzalcoatl. Another example is the god of rain and thunder named Chaac by the Mayans and Tlaloc by the aztecs.

Both of these cultures built step pyramids to honor their gods, although they have a lot of differences, they were built to be precisely aligned with different astronomical elements, such as the sun or the moon.
