Alright, so the flu virus is really contagious, and it spreads by germs from your body. It can be spread through cough, sneeze, touch, etc. The flu infected and spread so quickly because people weren't very sanitary. They probably didn't wash their hands after handling waste, or sneezing/coughing. I hope this helps.
