You work at a coffee shop and start the day with 20lbs of brewed coffee. You use 4 pounds in the store as single drinks. Throughout the day you have also sold bags for people to use at home. At the end of the day there are 6 lbs left. How many of the half-pound bags did you sell today?
If you subtract 4 from 20 (16) and then you subtract the amount that’s left which is 6 left over you get 10 bags. And those 10 bags are full so if you need half pound bags then it’s 20.
