Pete listened to the thunder booming outside the
kitchen window. He tried to contain his emotions.
but he finally broke down and sobbed pitifully.
"There, there, Pete. We'l find something else to do
here at home," said Pete's mom. She began to
unpack the picnic basket and place sandwiches on
the table. "I don't want a sandwichl- yelled Pete.
