We have,

Now,

Let the Side of a square be x.

According to the question ,

Area of square = ( Side )²

★ Putting the values in the above formula, we get :

⇒ 196 = ( x )²

⇒ ( x )² = 196

⇒ x = √196

⇒ x = 14 cm

Hence, the value of x is 14 cm.
