What is time elapsed?

Formula:
Elapsed Time = End Time - Start Time
As, 3:16 p.m. shows 44 minutes before 4:00 p.m.
and, 3:34 p.m. shows 26 minutes before 3: 34 p.m.
As, there is difference of
=44-26
=18 minutes
Hence, the part of an hour = 18/60= 3/10
