The Process of Photosynthesis. A sunflower is growing with roots below the ground. Water enters the soil to the roots. Sunlight and an element labeled A enter the plant. Sugars and an element labeled B exit the plant. As a natural resource, the atmosphere's interactions with the biosphere play a large role in cycling gases. This is mostly accomplished through photosynthesis and respiration.
