Soil is an object through which S wave can travel through. S wave is a type
of seismic wave and is also known as Secondary wave.
The motion of this type of wave is perpendicular to the direction of travel. It
causes a shaking effect on its path of travel which is why it is also referred to
as shaking waves.
They travel through solids due to the sheer strength of the rocks which
liquids lack. This explain why soil is the most appropriate choice.
