To minimize the tailgating hazard on your left I will slow down the speed of my vehicle to avoid any clash or accident.
What is a hazard?
Any kind of risk or threat that will cause an individual to get injured or in danger will be considered a hazard. Any element that could possibly cause harm, injury, or negative health impacts to an individual or something is a hazard.
If I were driving the blue Prius in the situation pictured above to minimize the tailgating hazard on your left. In need of those vehicles traveling on my left to allow me space, I will slow down. I might also switch to the lanes where the vehicles passing me on my right are going.
The objective would be to increase the gap between my vehicle and the two vehicles to the left. Anyone attempting to change lanes is at risk due to the current relative locations.
