Why did the United States and the Soviet Union get into a cold war after ww2?

US became enemies with the USSR because of communism. Communism vs. Democracy was the overall reason of the Cold War. although the USSR were helpful in War, after WW2 communist started spreading in Eastern Europe and South East Asia.
