1) She left Colorado at 1:45pm on Tuesday

2) Time in Nebraska = 4:20pm CST

3) Time of arrival in Alabama = 10:00pm CST (Friday)

 Explanation:  

1) Time of arrival in Illinois = 2:45pm CST (Wednesday)

As Carrie total journey was of 24 hours.

She left Colorado at +2:45 pm CST (Tuesday)

As Colorado is under MST, and MST has difference of -1 (minus one) hour to CST.

Time she left Colorado in MST =  2:45pm CST - 1 hour = 1:45pm MST (Tuesday)  

2) Nebraska is under CST and New York is under EST.  Where CST has the time difference of -1 hour to EST

So if Time in New York is = 5:20pm EST

Time in Nebraska is = 5:20pm EST - 1 hour = 4:20pm CST  

3) Departure time = 5:00 am EST (Friday)

Total journey = 18 hours

Arrival time in Alabama = 5:00 am EST + 18 hours = 11:00pm EST (Friday)

As Alabama is under CST , and CST has a time difference of -1 hour to EST, then
