x=-40t + 502 (1)
x=25t -18 (2)
Replace (1) in (2):
-40t + 502 = 25t -18
-40t -25t = -502-18
-65t = -520
t = -520/-65
t = 8
Then replace t in (2):
x = 25x8 -18
x = 182
