The capital of the Eastern Roman Empire, Constantinople was conquered by the Ottoman Army, under the command Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II on 29th May 1453. Hope this helps!!!
If I remember from one of my studies, it must have been the Ottoman Turk armies. After this, Ottomans became an Empire - one of the most powerful empires - and the Eastern Roman Empire fell and lasted. Does this help?
