In your own words, what are Pyramus and Thisbe about?
Pyramus and Thisbe were two young Babylonians who fell in love. However, their families did not see each other with good eyes and did not approve of their romance, forbidding them to see and talk. However, the two lived in neighbouring houses and continued to communicate through a wall that separated their houses. The young people were living a forbidden love and it would only be possible to be together if they ran away from their parents. They agreed to flee during the night and were supposed to be near a white moray.
Thisbe was the first to arrive at the place but was startled by the presence of a lioness with a bloody mouth. In fear, Thisbe ran to hide but dropped the veil she wore on her head. The lioness saw the veil and tore it, staining it completely with blood.
