Thinking about the water cycle: why might it be a bad idea to take water from a location, bottle it and send it somewhere else?

Basically, There would be some short-term and long-term environmental impacts. The short-term is that the water will be moved to a different location where the water cycle differenciates from the other location. If you were taking water from a frozen water to a hot place, the water will eventually evaporate.
