Much of the information taught in Earth-Space Science would not be available if it weren’t for our remote sensing abilities. Explain two ways our remote sensing strategies contribute to our knowledge of these topics.

Remote Sensing is a technological invention by scientists, where some unique cameras like the satellite are mounted in space to monitor changes occurring on earth. Scientists overtime collect the information gathered by these devices and then sense or perceive changes that might have occurred in an area that has been monitored.

Earth and Space science seeks to evaluate the relationship between the atmosphere, the oceans, land and biological life. Our remote sensing strategies has contributed to our knowledge of earth-space science in these two ways;

1. The Atmosphere: Changes in atmospheric weather conditions can be monitored by tracking clouds. Pictures taken on satellites mounted in space help scientists to predict weather changes.

2. The Oceans: Rather than take the risk of travelling deep down into the oceans, scientists mount sound navigation ranging systems on ships. These systems use sound propagation to detect and communicate with objects below the ocean floor, thus giving data which can be used by scientists to sense certain information.
