All of the statements that are true of parenthetical citation.
There are certain rules which are to be followed in citations.
Punctuation in citations follow three important rules in MLA format:
-The quotation has to be enclosed within double inverted commas.
-The name of the author and exact page citation has to be noted after the quotation marks.
-After the parenthetical citation, punctuation marks like commas, periods and semicolons are added. If question marks, exclamation marks or full stop is a part of quoted line then they should also be enclosed within the quotation marks. If not, then after the parenthetical citation.
